Blockchain Workshop at CESI Conf 2020, Athlone IT

In a new partnership between arts and technology organisations BlockWIrish Computer SocietyOrigin Chain Networks and Irish Modern Dance Theatre a unique interactive presentation of blockchain technology will take place at the CESI Conference in Athlone IT on February 29th 2020. Tracing the Steps workshop is supported by Irish Tech Week 2020.

BlockW seeking to bring something fresh and relevant to an audience of second and third-level educators at the CESI conference and invited Fiona Delaney (Origin Chain Networks) and John Scott (Irish Modern Dance Theatre) to devise a unique interactive intro to blockchain technology and combine it with excerpts from Scott’s internationally acclaimed contemporary dance work Actions.

The blockchain workshop at the CESI Conference introduces core concepts such as smart contracts, oracles, consensus and governance.

Conference attendees were invited to take and share images and video across social channels. The audience took the role of data providers and using the #TracingTheSteps to tag their posts, we gathered and published the contnet using blockchain-plugin WordProof.io to forge a permanent record on the EOS public blockchain.
